Just curious how long time it takes you guys to give the couple their photos.

I always tell people 2-3 weeks. I typically get it done faster, at least the proofs. But better to exaggerate so they don't bug you :P

depends on the number of pictures and what I am doing with them. I have taken up to a month. Granted that was during school when I was up to 23 credit hours and the bride was a friend so she didn't mind. (Plus she was getting me for free)

I tell my clients within 2 weeks, but I strive to have them done within 1 week. Although I usually only have 1 or 2 events per month, so that makes it easier for me.

I promise 28 days, I often get the proofs on the net the next day or within 2-3 days. I don't include prints in my package, when they order then I have a standard delivery period of 28 days though I often do it in less than a week. For album I say allow 1-2 months for the design process, depending on my workload and how proactively they give me feedback. Album printing and assembly takes 2-6 weeks, depending on the time of year.
My times are geared up for wedding season, where I do one wedding per weekend, and this coming season I already have a couple of Friday weddings booked. If I get any busier i'll be hiring someone to help out, in addition to the photographer I hired already.

Six weeks tops, but the product is usually in hand sooner. Including slack time has been a life saver for us. Haven't missed a deadline yet, and I hope we never do! What's your turnaround time?

I work full time and when i say full time - my job is also in front of a computer for 8hrs a day - so i come home and am again 4hrs on the computer each day. I tend to slack off a bit for a week after the wedding - don't even look at the photo' properly - just so i can relax back.
So i promise up to 6wks, i get it done within 4wks and then the lab i go through are so godamn slow (Thinking of changing) so it ends up being 6wks. BEFORE i went with this lab it was 4wks tops!
4-6wks if you want roundabouts timing!

I'm meeting a couple tomorrow to discuss further if they'll hire me for their wedding. Was trying to get a sense of how long others take to deliver the photos so I can get an estimate to tell them. I'm thinking towards 3-4 weeks should be good.
I was going through the wedding photos I have from my friend's wedding. I intend to have some printed up to show the couple tomorrow, but damn, it takes time to edit the shots!!!

Claire juts say 6wks then it gives you plenty of time in between in case things liek the lab is slow etc or just say your computer crash's - there's nothign worse than saying 4 wks and then you ring them daily to give more excuses why their proofs aren't ready - my problem ATM with a really slow lab - great at their job just really slow turn around because they are so popular and have a lot of work experience kids UGH!

My local pro lab can have rush jobs done while I wait. The lab I use for enlargements (beacuse it's MUCH cheaper for enlargements) take 3 days to print, and one day to courier. If your lab isn't up to it Pixi check out http://www.nulab.com.au , I was considering them until I found queensberry print in Auckland.
