My 20D slept pretty good last few days. I took it out of the camera bag and noticed that I forgot to turn it off. The battery was still showing full.
Anyone left their camera on longer?
Has anyone done a test to see how long a full battery would last during hybernation? Just curious.
I'm just impressed with just how long the batteries last between charges during normal use......Go Canon!

well it was probably on auto shutoff.
I never turn my camera switch off. It turns off automatically after 1min

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize the camera was doing what it's supposed to do. This is a nice feature to have.
Cheers!

I always forget to turn it off. Glad it's smarter than I am. :)

How long does it usually take for the XT to start up again? I found that on my 10D, it was taking too long to start back up since I wasn't continuously taking pictures, meaning I miss the odd shot. That was with auto off at 1 minute. I have it at 4 now, but sometimes I forget that it turns off and try to take a pic before it has even started up.

wake up time for canons with digic II is almost instantanious. I'd guess about 1/2 second.

I always forget to turn it off.
Me too :D
My sleep mode delay is set to 30minutes, since I have the 10D and it's wake-up time is about 2-3 seconds - so I don't want to miss any shots when I'm out taking pictures.
