View Full Version : Before returning 10D, try this first

Another thread by CDS gives me this idea.

If your 10D fails the autofocusing test, first remove your UV filter and try the autofocusing test again.

I have returned 2 10Ds already because they were front focusing consistently. But now I remember they also had a UV filter.

I kept a third 10D and it's autofocusing is perfect during the day, but is front focusing under low light conditions, a Jekyll and Hyde behavior. It also has a UV filter. Thus, it is possible for the first 2 10Ds to have autofocusing problem because of the UV filter.

I am going to remove it and see if it improves autofocusing.
