I`ve been getting myself all hot and bothered, fretting about the first wedding I have been paid to do, and the bride has contacted me saying the wedding is off due to "unforseen circumstances"! I`m so gutted you cannot believe it:mad:.
I took a £100 deposit that she knows she wont get back so I`m not out of pocket or anything, I just thought this could be the start of something good.

Oh well! onwards and upwards

you got £100 for nothing! thats a good start. just get yurself out there and do a bit of self marketing. You'll have your next one soon enough!

Better to not shoot a wedding than shoot one that will end soon. A personal victory if not financial :)

Put the £100 towards advertising and move on. :)

That does suck, its nerveracking preparing for a wedding, yet disappointing if it cancels. Probably better off for the couple though. At least youve got the deposit.

I agree. Throw it into your Ad budget.

"The bird of paradise sh*ts on my head again"
Tony, that reminds me of the story of the little bird that was enjoing his meal of worms under a horse. The shade provided by the horse and the cool breeze produced by the wagging of the horse's tail, made that spot by the horse's rear, the perfect one. He was so happy, when out of nowhere, came down a full load oh sh*t. The little bird was completly covered by it. He dammed the whole world for ruining such a perfect moment. Little did he know, that his life was spared thanks to that pile of sh*t; a hawk had been circling above for a while and was getting ready to make the kill, which he then aborted due to "lack of visibility".
So I say, maybe it was going to be one of those "horror story weddings" where everything goes wrong or something like that.
And like other posters have said, you are 100.00 ahead of the game. Good luck on your next one.
