OK, it has occured to me that many of the POTN members have a lot to share, and a lot that needs to be covered. Having worked at a lab for 3 years, I believe that I could round up the photographers who brought in top notch work to put on a two day "Canon Fest". I believe that we could have around 1 hour per presentation with a 30 minute interval, giving time for switching speakers, final questions exc. This should mean we could have around 6-8 Classes per day.
We would have a registration fee that would cover renting the hotel confrence rooms, as well as marketing materials that would be sent out to all the Florida camera stores.
Classes I have in mind-
1- Raw workflow
2- Color Management
3- Posing
4- Automotive Photography
5- Making the web work for you (selling prints online).
6- Senior Photography
7- Wildlife and nature photography
8- Nighttime Photography
9- Photoshop Tips and Tricks for photographers.
Any classes that you have an idea for would be awsome. Also, if anyone would be willing to teach a class, please contact me.
I would think Gainesville, FL would be a good spot. It has plenty of Dining options MUCH cheaper than Miami, Tampa Jacksonville or Orlando, as well as the hotel rooms are MUCH cheaper.
Does this sound like a good idea?
