Okay I have been requested to do a slideshow for a wedding and I thought..what the heck, why not? I need to learn ProShow Gold anyway and I can learn it while charging for the slideshow!

Now...I have to scan in a lot of older photos and I don't have them all yet but need to get started scanning so I have time to do it.

So I'm scanning and just saving everything as a numbered file.

Now...I don't know if bridge can do this, but looking for a way I can.

I need to arrange the pictures in an order I want, and then have it mass rename the files in an ascending order so that when working in ProShow I can just go based off of the number of the image and insert them quickly. Anyone know of anything that can help me here?

You are aware you can batch rename in Windows?

I probably should be, but I don't. But that doesn't help me get the pictures in the correct order, and batch rename them based on that order.

Drag and drop in bridge to get the order you want, then batch rename will do what you're after. Open proshow, drag and drop in, add music, frames, backgrounds, titles, and you're done. When you first do it it takes many hours or days, now it takes me 30 minutes.

Windows batch rename sucks, at least what I know does.

Cool. I see that will work.

The only problem with ProShow Gold is it doesn't seem to have an audio editor so that I can fade audio tracks in/out and mix. I do have Adobe Audition that will do nicely though.

I thought Gold did have the audio fade in/out commands?

I can't seem to find them. Well...it can fade out the song but it won't mix/crossfade two songs if I didn't want to include the whole song.
