For a nice inflated price I see too.

Looks like a whole dollar more than Gary sells them for himself! 100 pennies may be a dealbreaker for some! :)

I just recently pulled the old LSII out and shot some photos of the grandkids. Its' still a rather amazing piece of plastic for around the house shooting IMO.

heh heh...yeah, but GF inflated the price, not B&H.
that said, I do like using it, it works like it's supposed to...not in all situations, but it has it's place.
Would be better if it was $20.

For the pleasure of being offered his product in the UK, we are asked to pay twice that!
Still, you have to admire him for his successful product and for B+H for taking it - although they seem to be out of stock of a few of them already.
I've heard it's not so easy to put on and looks a bit daft, so I'm going to give it a miss myself.

I baught one for my 430EX and the fit is very poor.
I paid $80 Can. for mine and overpriced is a understatement!

A thick rubber band helps. I used some none skid sticker pads on mine.
It should fit better for the price.

I have been debating on whether to order one or not... am almost convinced to order one... however Gary's website & B&H neither one list one as fitting the Sigma ef-500 DG Super. I could have sworn that the "P3" used to be listed as fitting.. but it isn't now.

I used the 580EX version for my Sigma and it was pretty tight but in a good, not-gonna-fall-off way. That was the hard plastic version though. The newer version is supposedly a little more pliable and should fit snug yet easier.

Taking UPS shipping into account at least for where I live....
Ordered from Gary Fong $48.00 + $8.77 s/h = $56.77
Ordered from B&H $49.00 + $4.95 s/h = $53.95

Not to mention Gary's own customer service/shipping is iffy at best. B&H is known to be fast and reliable. So yeah if you really want one, B&H would be the better route...assuming they aren't drop-shipping via Gary.

The P3 fit my 500 Super. Same one as the 430ex. It was a tighter fit on the sigma.

I was checking out the measurements for the Sigma and none of them fit. The closest one, and the one they recommended I purchase, is the P4. They said I could return it if it didn't work.
They are also selling it at http://www.vistek.ca. I'd offer a direct link, but vistek seems to be down now. Nice to have a Canadian source, but I'm still not convinced it is worth it.

I almost ordered on off Fong's website but the S&H was about $50.00. This seems like a nice alternative. Thanks

I am going to walk over to B&H today and get one. The website lists it for 49.00 at B&H.

Fitment is fine on my Metz 54MZ4. I still haven't seen any of these in the street besides mine.

The shipping to Canada off of Gary's site was like 85US. I had previously bought one of the originals but was going to try the clear one but have changed my whole approach on these things.
My original was for the 550 and it didn't fit the 580 worth a darn. I took and put a small bead of glue from a hot glue gun and it now fits perfectly. The glue has a little give to it and works like a spongey effect on it.
