Hi All,

I am a Wedding photographer and im still very much in that creative stage. I took these shots over the last few months. Do you think to be a successful Wedding photographer you need to rely heavily on Photoshop skills to enhance the shots? Even with a perfect exposure and composition I just think Photoshop can add so much more to the Magic of the day.

Cheers
Jason

Jason, nice photos :) Not sure I like the red tinged wedding dress, can't see any of the grooms suit detail, and I can't spot what you did to it - but I like it anyway :) 2nd is more obvious what you did, and it works well :) The sky might draw just a little too much attention, but it looks very dramatic.

It is somewhat easy to tell what youve done to these photos, but maybe thats because we know you did something to them. I like the shots, and your ps skills seem to be working good. :)

Number one I'm not crazy about the red tint but the overall image is very cool. Number two was a true winner for me.

In answering your question though, I prefer to do as little work in PS as possible. Obviously I have shots that when I take them I see something in my head that the camera just can not produce (especially digital) so I tweak it in PS.

The 2nd shot is great! Yes, it's a bit exaggerated but it works well in this image. I'd love to know more in detail what you did on that image.

I really like that 2nd one. I think that nowadays your PS skills can set you apart from other photographers, but it comes down to what the couple wants to. I would think some people are perfectly happy with "traditional" photos.
