Hi,

I am booked to do a wedding, part of which will be held in an old prestigious hall with fairly low lighting.

I will more than likely have to use flash for at least some of the shots.

Any tips on shooting in this enviroment (very high ceilings) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

In the case of a high ceiling without enough ambient light, I use a flash bracket, off camera shoe cord, and put a diffuser/softbox on the flash and fire it directly at the subject. Last resort.

why would that be a last resort? in a place with high ceilings, thats how id first approach it.

Or F1.4/ISO1600 with a little fill. Beware the flash might not be able to dial its power down enough to avoid blowing the picture, so diffuse if you have that problem.
