I crossed the Helsinki market sqare a few hours ago, and there he was, our good friend Corvus Cornix, the Hooded Crow, actively seekeing some goodies. S/he decided to rip the black plastic bag covering the bike seat, but then noticed that there must be something more interesting in the back seat of the bike. And then the work started.

(This is the 3rd sequel in series "Animals are more clever than humans", see the first *here* (http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=167762) and second *here* (http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=178064)).

3# - Trophy

4# - "Has everybody seen me!" (Note how elegantly s/he is holding the joghurt can.)

5# - Clean your mouth, please. ("Should I still eat the seat for desert?")

That's a great series of shots Olli, and #4 in particular was brilliantly composed.

Well done Olli. Excellent shots. Did you miss the shot where he sat down and read the newspaper too?

My good friends John and Dave, thanks for being the first to comment.

John, I was almost about not to include #4, but good that I did it. It nicely completes the story.

Dave, some nasty seaguls came to find out what kind of treasure Corvus has found, so no time for morning news and a smoke (I assume s/he's a smokes based on the dark-grayish color of his/her face).

Love this addition to the ". . . more clever than humans" series. I have to agree with John, number 4 is the prize!

Excellent Ollie, gave me a good laugh this morning, nice crisp shots too. The crows here fly off as soon as you point a camera at them.

Wu, sprinkler, Roger, good to have your comments. :)

Roger. That's what I have noticed as well. This is actually first time I got a decent shot of a crow. (I used here S70-200.) Maybe this individual was a city extrovert.

Fun series. #4 is good but I really like #3. S/he needs to brush up on the drinking skills. I have never seen a bird like this before either. Neat creature and very well captured and presented.

These crows are really relentless when they decide to do something. -- These were taken with S70-200/2.8, lens which I'm very pleased.

Thanks for kind comments, BillsBayou and Dave.

I have never seen a bird like this before either. Neat creature and very well captured and presented.I have noticed that market squares are excellent places to see birds in action. Last weekend I was following also one seagull who was a master in stealing cherries from the stalls. Unfortunately I did not catch any good picture of that.
