Brown praying mantis

I know that this picture would have looked better if the mantis was on a nice plant or tree instead of this wall, but I wasn't going to move him. Would appreciate any comments or advice - Thanks.

Nice shot - mostly in focus except for the hind part. Did you shoot this at a slight angle and/or did you use a macro filter?

Actually at a slight angle and with a macro filter +4. The picture is rotated - He was actually sitting on a vertical wall.
