I develop a programm with MS Visual C++ and Canon CDSDK 6.0. I have Canon Powershot G5. Is there a way to set the manual Focus with SDK-Function?

Same question here - I have a canon s30 and am interested in afocal astrophotography (coupling camera to eyepiece) . Focusing in low light conditions is an issue... In my case, once the camera is positioned relative to the eyepiece, the focus should be determined and frozen. Ideally, I'd like to save the focus "value" to disk and later restore it.

If the answer is no - can't do it, is it possible in future versions of the SDK? Or does the s30 firmware/micro not support this?

I dont beleive you can set the manual focus via the SDK.
The best you could do is autofocus it and do a AF Lock
to get it to maintain that focus. Of course have to work out what to focus it on before attaching to telescope.
Oh and cant do the AFlock on a S30
