I stopped reading when the article regurgitated the Olympus POV concerning light falloff and full-frame sensors. Seems that this point is always touted by people who's favorite brand doesn't include full-frame sensors. The difference between full-frame digital and full-frame film is negligable in terms of light falloff and is nearly always a lens-related issue.

That's not to say that light falloff doesn't occur with some lenses - it's just to say that it is decidedly a lens phenomenon and has little - to - nothing to do with digital sensors.

Here's a good read on optical vignetting (light falloff):

All I can tell you is that my 5D makes gorgeous pictures, about 85% of which are shot with wide-angle lenses, both zoom and prime. The author has no experience with full-frame cameras and is just regurgitating what he has read elsewhere, so he has zero credibility with me. He is simply defending his own choice of camera.

It's an interesting read, even if it's not true. Does anyone here have the education, experience, and knowledge to let us know for sure? I'm not talking about stuff you've read, i'm talking about people who know this stuff inside out.
