Does anybody know if an IS version of the 24-70 f2.8L lens is being developed or planned to be developed? I would much prefer an IS version of this lens!!!

I dont think there will be an IS version of the 24-70. You will find most of the current IS lenses are telephoto zooms because that is where stabilization is need most. The 24-70 2.8L is fast enough and short enough to get along fine without the IS IMO.
