Hi there.

IŽll go to LA next month,to perform at the Hollywood Bowl.
So i decided to buy in LA my EF 24-70 L 2.8.
May you tell me a good and cheap store where to buy?

Canoga camera, Samys, BelAir camera. I know that Samys in-store prices are higher than their online prices, don't know if they will match online prices in-store or not.

How much are the taxes in US stores? The price of the article more 7%?

Sales tax depends on where you buy. Each state is different, with small variations between counties within each State. In Calif., in L.A. county, sales tax is 8.25%.

And maybe there are stores in LA with tax free or duty free for non-US residents.It will be?

Not that I'm aware of. If you are going to be in the States for any length of time I suppose you could buy online from someone such as B&H and have it shipped to your hotel, avoiding CA state sales tax.

Thank you, they don't ship to hotels.But it was an idea.Maybe they ship to the Hollywood Bowl.

Delaware, Alaska, Oregon and I think Montana are tax free states.

We will ship to a hotel/motel/resort only within the USA and only if payment is COD. The rules are:

Hotels/motels/resorts: We will ship to any of these under the following circumstances:
- Payment must be COD (Cash on Delivery). The shipper charges a $9.00 per parcel COD fee, which we will add to the total. Payment to the delivery person may only be certified or bank check or money order. FedEx/UPS do not accept cash or travelers' checks for COD. The denomination must be USA dollars and the check must be from a mainland USA bank. The customer's local branch of a USA bank or hotel concierge should be able to assist. We cannot accept Credit Card payment when shipped to Hotels, motels or resorts. This type of order may only be submitted by phone -- no web orders with hotel/motel/resort shipping. Orders subject to verification before shipment.

Great to see a B&H rep here. I know we collectively spend a LOT of money with B&H. I personally drop some serious coin with them/you. It would be great if you stick around to answer questions. There always seems to be some obscure question that needs to be answered about B&H.

We also send a LOT of business your way. I can't count the number of times B&H is recommended by veteran POTN members. Maybe there is some referral or preferential pricing that could be made available to us? :)
