Ok, each inanimate object spotted on walkabout this afternoon is either:

A. Dead
B. Sick
C. Very much alive

Which to you think is which? :D

[1. The Glove?]

[2. The Road Repair Stuff?]

[3. The Silver Shoes?]

[4. The Bottles?]

Rules: these will be made up as we go along by me, but only if needed. There are no prizes of any kind. In the event of a draw then the two idiots must mud wrestle and later post shots (travel, etc. at their own expense). No questions about the shoes allowed: someone just seems to have left 'em there!?

Ok!

4 C - you must be very alive to be able to drink all that and the leave the bottles in good order.

1 and 3 A - a dead person's most valuable possesions are left for us to be worshipped.

2 B - sick person is quarantined in the hole.

About the rules: "(In the event of a draw then the two idiots must mud wrestle and later post shots (travel, etc. at their own expense)." I know where (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1600249&postcount=15).

1&2 seem pretty sick.

3 must be dead...I can smell it from here.

4 is alive...too alive...those bottles are apt to up and walk off with all the stuff growing in there. hehehe

1 & 4 are dead.

2 is sick & needs to be put back into shape.

and 3 must be very much alive to have walked themselves there. ;)

Interesting shots. intriguing quiz.
I'm not fond of tests -don't give 'em if I can help it, swore never to take another one after my dissertation defense. I did have to take a written drivers test. Yuck So can at least make an exception for one that at least may be fun. I'll get back with you on the answers. Bad cacse of brain fog tonight.
I just wanted to comment that you do seem to have a fondness for mud wrestling. ;) Is our challenge still on?

Well done chums. Some excellent insights. There is a correct answer to this BTW. I witnessed these objects first hand and it is clear which is alive, which dead, and which is sick.

Re. mud wrestling Wu ... I dunno if I am fond of it or not having never tried it. To tell the truth having looked at Olli's barn further as his thread unfolded I have to say the idea of wrestling for the joy of living there is less appealing. While I like the texture and forms there is just too much to do to make it habitable, at least for me, and I suspect any power washing of floors will only liberate a multitute of nostril eating stenches. I leave it to you ... and maybe Roger!

Hey, thanks! :D I figure by the time Olli has spruced it up fpr the party most of the work will be done. If it has been 20yrs or so since it inhabited by cattle, I'd be surprised if there will be much stench left to dredge up with the power wash. I recall that well decayed offal has no odour (old farm girl ).
4= dead empty shells of former selves- probably killed by a vampire as they've been drained of their life-giving fluids
2=alive if it was dead there'd be no need for surgery as it would be beyond repair.

still thinking about the other two. maybe when I've had morning caffeine.

Ok funsters ... the time has come to reveal the correct answer, based on my own close assessment of each inanimate object at the time of shooting.

1 The Glove - he dead baby!
2 The Road Repair Stuff - him sick baby!
3 The Silver Shoes - him he alive-o baby, oh yeah!
4 The Bottles - oh, them bottles all dead man!

So, the winner here today is our good friend Sprinkles from glorious Singapore, that most enchanting and enticing of city states ;-) Well done fella!

Condyk, I think you've officially gone nuts. I don't get it either (and I'm used to your weird British humour!)

Condyk, I think you've officially gone nuts. Is it now the time to ask mods to change Dave's title from Cream of the Crop to Nuts of the Crop?

Well I have been called 'nuts' and a 'nutter' within the space of 24 hours. I guess there could be something in it. Of course, the sign of a true 'nut' is when they think everyone else is 'nuts'. When I start saying things like people are 'nuts' to think they need spend loads of cash to get a decent shot, that the 85mm 1.2L, 17-55mm 2.8 IS and 24-70mm 2.8 L are joke lenses and people who buy them are 'nuts', and that it is 'nuts' not to have have little kiss icons near their avatars for people looking to date other people here  then you know I am truly nuts ... erm ... ooooops ... :o

I'm not taking the quiz Dave, but I do like the pics. Excellent shots, crisp and great color rendition. What lens did you use?

We are fruit and nuts Olli. You can decide which of us is which. BB ... lens is the rather practical and consistently decent 24-105mm IS L. Helps shake post coffee intake ;-)

We are fruit and nuts Olli. You can decide which of us is which. I'm probably a grape ... a dried grape, i.e. raisin ... at least my brains. And gosh, that is a berry, not a fruit .. or is a berry a fruit?
