Beautiful shot Marie; I like the way the sunlight is reflection off the alter and the back of the pews. Nicely done.

Nice shot marie - exposure must have been tricky. I suppose you had to brighten the shadows a bit?

Nice! Taking it from the center gives it a static, solid feeling instead of a more dynamic angle shot. "The Church" moves like a glacier, right? ;)

the bright sunshine of a March morning helped,there was not too much difficulty Pio
I used the wide angle lens on the G2
I did lighten the shadows ever so slightly as I wanted to keep the 'flickering ' type of light on the pews
using the flash, hoping it would not affect the overall appearance too much
the flare on the last pew is the flash....
but never mind, it blends in with the sunlight ..... more or less :lol:
usually if I take a shot in a church it needs a person or two kneeling there to help make a picture
but I was very glad there was no one this time
(for this type of shot)
for the title I was thinking of a newspaper (local news) when I gave the post it's name
:rolleyes::)
many thanks
one of the priests ,who died a few years ago now,
he carved out those concrete sculptures above the altar, also some other statues around
they were all very 'modern' at the time and they still manage to look 'modern'
he had a far sighted vision I guess
