Could you be a little more specific, and maybe post an example or two?

Yeah!I looked for a sample but I forgot I recently deleted all my bad photo's.But all my night time photo's come out way too dark, even with flash. Is there any setting that would reduce this..The next time Im out with it I will take some shots and post them up.Thanx

It seems that in situations where it appears as if there is plenty of light(on the LCD) and then the photo comes out way darker.

If you could post some examples it would be helpful.

It might something as simple as your monitor is not calibrated, so the photos look ok on your camera, or in print, but look to dark on your monitor.

Actually, the LCD screen displays a preview that has "more" light to help aid you to frame the subject better. This allows you to see what you want to shoot but doesn't mean it'll be as bright as what you see on the screen. I think this was new with the SD200-400 series.

When shooting in low light, the SD450 doe not have ISO800 like the newer SD series cameras so it won't be as effective without flash. Even with flash, you can use the night flash mode (icon is stars with a moon). In this mode, it will flash as well as having a 1" shutter.

This is prolly a poor example. There prolly is no way for my sd450 to get this shot from so far away in that lighting.

you can see from the light on the floor the effective range of your flash... doesnt look like its powerful enough.

Your flash will probebly only have enough light to sho about 10 -12' max. beyond that you will mostlikly get dark backgrounds as in your picture. Try the night scene as someone else has suggested. Good luck.:)

Like they said, the flash doesn't have the range. ;)
