View Full Version : Convincing IR conversion?

I posted the color version of this photo in the sharing forum, and will show it here for the comparison.

My question is, did the IR conversion I tried to simulate in Photoshop look convincing? Would you believe it was shot with an IR filter if I hadn't mentioned that I did it in PS?

I do own a Hoya R72, I just didn't think to use it this day, and am trying to recreate what it may have looked like. I already have my own opinion about it.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure really.

I have hardly ever seen water shot on IR film, I think it doesn't look much different to ordinary black and white.

So its quite hard to judge whether this looks the part or not - sorry.

The few leaves in your shot are white - which is what happens with IR film, but thats alll I can really say.

Thanks both of you for the comments. Appreciate it.

I didn't think it was a very accurate conversion myself, but I wanted a few other opinions also. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I guess I will have to go back with my IR filter... whenever that is.

Thanks again.

It doesn'y look like an IR picture. Anyway, the colorfull picture is better.
