auto focus problems with 50 f1.4

does anyone else have a problem with this lens. i bought this lens about 3 months ago, but now its really starting to bug me. when i am trying to focus on something, it will go to the closest focusing distance, and then it will just stop. you can hear the lens trying to move, but it cant. so then i have to manually focus it until it starts to move by itself. i love this lens, but its really really bugging me bad now. has anyone had any experience with this and know how to resolve it in anyway? thanks in advance.

I own that lens and it doesn't do that for me. As it is only 3 months old, I suggest you send it to Canon for repair or replacement.
