Thnx for posting these. They are really nice moments of the occasion. I am sure ppl with more technical skills than me will comment on the flash shadows and exposure, but to me these shots are really great in terms of "capturing the atmosphere"

best wishes for the couple!

Thanks - that's exactly what we were going for - capturing the moment. If I wanted technical excellence, I would have paid.

Both I and my friend have only done a couple of weddings each so we're not tremendously experienced in this regard.

Looks like you had a good day, Congrats. I brought my gear to my wedding (for the formals) and let the hired pro shoot some with my camera. I even ended up shooting quite a few shots myself...it was great fun.

Your suit looks a little blown out on my screen but not too bad. I'll bet you got some great shots of you & your wife...both in white. If only more grooms would dress like that...we wouldn't have to sacrifice their black tuxes to get the bride's dress...easy to tell you are a photographer

Congrats on the wedding and looks like you had a wonderful time!

Oh, is he wearing a Breitling and you and your wife Rolexes? (Gotta ask!)

Thanks for all the kind words folks!

Funny you should ask. My friend is a huge Breitling fan, but wore his Rolex Submariner at my request so that the Crown would be properly represented at my wedding (his along with mine and my wife's matching Rolex Datejusts).

Daytona, I just saw your AV. And your sigline. I shouldn't even have asked if they were Rolexes! LOL You're a big Rolex fan it seems. Did you and your wife get the matching watches for the wedding?

Congratulations on the big day Daytona :)

And nice DJs. I saw an absolute beauty gold/ss 16013 at a nice price today, listed as a 1986 year. Only downside was it had one of the sketchy gold faces rather than the plain finished face.

Hi Claire - sorry for the delayed response - I missed your question!

In answer to your question, I bought the ladies model for my wife as a wedding gift in January, and she wanted me to get the men's matching model, which I did. It's not like it takes a lot of arm twisting to get me to buy a watch...

I'm guessing by your description it was a linen dial model....which I also do not care for. In fact, the model I own originally had that dial, but I had it swapped out. :D
