Hi my G1 has just stopped working and after searching the forum I presume it is the common fuse problem that is the cause.

I have done a search for the fix and it looks like all the links to the fix for this problem are broken!

Is there anyone out there that can forward me the procedure to replace the fuse in my G1

Look forward to your replys

Cheers
Matt

Hi there, new member too, all the links are dead, I tried the way back machine to get them back but no piccies.

My issue is this, my G2 will turn on lens extends, I can take two pics at the most, or one with flash, then it just dies, until I get the battery out and back in then it turns on...but again it just takes one or two pics before it dies.

Is this the same as the fuse problem with the G1's? I am not under warranty since I bought the camera from a second party.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My G2 was dead a few days ago. It could be the fuse problem after I searched the web. If any one have the step by step protocol to replace the fuse, please let me know. I already know the parts # for G1 fuse, which are #ke25 and #ke32. I'll check with canon parts usa if G2 has the same #.

Many people refered this web site: http://hunterftp.hunter.com/~dav/ for replacement of G1 fuse, but I could not open it. some one in this forum might view or saved it before, if so, please let me know. thanks.
