Andrew,
I myself just very recently went through the same dilema. Finally decided on the 1GB. This was large enough to take a reasonable number of pics in RAW, yet was not over priced like the 2GB card.
I just ordered the latest Lexar 1 GB 40X memory for $265, No Tax, Free Shipping from http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?DEPA=1&submit=Go&description=lexar%2C1gb
This is an excellent price as everywhere else I try they are asking for around $318 + tax + shipping. As for NewEgg I have used them many times, they are good as gold.

Don't forget that a flash card can always be defective. So if you loose 2Gb of data you'll be banging your head on the wall a lot harder than 1Gb.

If you note, the 2 GB card is more than twice the price of the 1 GB card. Top of the line, latest technology is ALWAYS overpriced due to the reality of Technolust that pervades. People always seem to desire the best, the newest, the fastest etc. in whatever they buy. Companies know this and make their profits accordingly. I have always made it a habit to buy the NEXT best and I have understandably saved a bundle over the years.

That's great but am I right in that Newegg doesn't ship to Canada? Also can the D60 benefit from the WA technology or is this simply a waste of money? For any fellow Canucks out there, where are you finding the best deal of compact flash cards?

Thanks Scott. One outstanding question though is where Canadians are finding the best deal. Unfortunatley, it seems that neither Amazon.com nor Newegg.com ship to Canada. At this point I'm looking at mydigitaldiscount.com.
