Hi all. I’m new of this forum and I’m posting because I’d like to know your opinion about the pixel test of my Canon EOS 10D. I’ve bought it few days ago and so, if the test is not ok I can return it to Canon. I made it by Pixel Tester http://www.http://www.starzen.com/imaging/deadpixeltest.htm

In the list below I've reported the number of hot pixel (likely I've not dead pixel):

Can you tell me what’s your idea?

Take the pictures of completely black then do the test. It will show up in the white area as HOT/DEAD and then coordinates. Click on one and it previes the hot/dead pixel to the right of that. If you have a big white/red dot.. you most likely have a dead/hot pixel. I myself have a dead pixel on my sensor and am bringing it to Canon to get remapped. I could exchange the camera, but I figure if I take it to Canon then they will remap it and for sure there will be no problems.. but if I return it and get another the problem might just reoccur. Definitely not worth it the trouble.
