I thought the same thing. Apparantly, and someone can correct my if I am wrong, but the most common that I saw was morphing a person's face with the head of a cat. So the human face resembles a cat's face.

It's where you metamorphose one picture into another - advanded blenind if you like....

Example http://www.uweb.ucsb.edu/~tracy_patterson/morph.gif

Or you could just go for an insect metamorphosis.

Or just plain cheat...

We just had a guy in this area hospitalized for a bite from a rattlesnake he thought he had killed. He used a shovel to cut the head off, but he didn't completely sever it and the thing bit him on the foot (the idiot was barefoot, too). That phrase sure would describe that scenario!

I've gone through five pages on a Google image search, and I'm not convinced they're Phlox. The stamen is different, and so are the shape of the petals. Yours and Jamies have a point on the end and almost all of the images Google is giving me show petals with an indentation.

Jamie and Athena: What altitude were the flowers you took pictures of at, approximately?

I think it's Polomonium, a type of phlox. That would explain why it looks so familiar to me. I have tons of pictures of that stuff. It grows like weeds at about 10,000' and up. Look at this: http://www.sbs.utexas.edu/bio406d/images/pics/plm/phlox_roemeriana.htm -- very similar.

Correct - the EF-S 60 plus 2 full sets of Jessops extension tubes (that's 130mm). This combo gives 4.1:1 magnification but the IQ is relatively poor and there is tremendous loss of light. LOL - from the looks on your faces, I don't think it was more fun than a flood. ;)
what the heck is that anyway? and why did it require you to be bound in one of those overall sacks?? it was a swing... we fell about 100 ft then swung out across a river . scared the S**t out of me.. a bungy was not so scary...because of the fact it was straight down.... never again...

Thanks, just wanted to make sure it was what you were looking for.

TPBM is a long bridge, that you can drive cars over, but not the golden gate. ;)

TPBM is a remote rest room

Nice save Grumpy. :) We were just about finished with our 'lego-popscicle-stick' rendition of a suspension bridge. :) Though I must admit, even though the request has been fulfilled, the boys are still finsishing the bridge. You don't work on a project that long, and not finish it, LOL.
My kids are always subjected to doing funky things for the sake of this thread. :) Although, if it involves "having to buy ice cream" they usually dont mind. :) :)

How about a remote outhouse, kinda the same. We are digging a new hole for it.http://bearleealive.smugmug.com/photos/92271549-M.jpg

This will be triggered remotely sometimes... And I will be using it in remote areas all weekend!

TPBM is taken at a LONG focal length... (since I stretched the rules... you can feel free to as well...)

*EDIT* That is my old 35mm on there... Needed a 'real' camera to take the picture. ;)

I am compensating... I'm compensating for only having 200mm of reach when I go camping this weekend. As much as I like getting pictures of eagles, to get them any decent size in the frame I have to get right up under them... Shots of an eagle's @$$ just aren't that cool to me...

Don't worry... It's only a rental...

All that good stuff (300mm f2.8 L IS, 1.4x TC, 2x TC) and a 10-22mm until noon Tuesday for $100! That's like $6-7000 worth of equipment!
