This is one of which I couldn't resist while looking at the aeronautical charts (I should have been navigating).........
Taken last night on the way back from Aberporth, the haze that had prevailed all day was making visibility poor but we arrived at Caernarfon at 5,500' at around 6;15pm and the views just opened up. This is looking East toward Snowdonia. I just had to reach for my camera and grab this shot before it went. Mother Nature can be wonderful at times...
The large white blob lower right is the wing - as I needed it at the time it can stay in the image ;-)

With the birth of my girls (they'll be 3 in a month - yikes!), I've had to curtail some of my hobbies. One is called Geocaching. Quick overview: You take a GPS and find little "treasures" in the woods (mostly) by coordinates provided by a "map." I could go into much more detail, but I'll just say that I enjoy traipsing around the woods finding useless trinkets. :)

This top-heavy ice chunk at the base of Niagara Falls is surely unstable. The ice chunk is approximately 20 feet tall and much wider at the top than at the slender base. Taken two weeks ago after most of the winter ice has melted.

This is just so wrong, I had to use two pics to prove it. I took these pics at the Renissance Faire in Southern Connecticut, July of '06. The nail was pounded into the wall first, I'm guessing to prove that it was a real nail.

TPBM is of an "egress"
Do you really mean egress?
Noun: egress
1. (astronomy) the reappearance of a celestial body after an eclipse
2. The becoming visible
3. The act of coming (or going) out; becoming apparent
It can also be a verb:
1. Come out of
but you used it as a noun...

Lonnie, I actually meant it in the PT Barnum sense, as in "see the egress" meaning exit or "get the hell out so I can let more suckers in:p " . But in this case it seems to have worked well. Nice shot Athena... Why do I suddenly crave a croissant?:D
