Another shot from last weeks trip to Aberfoyle. This is Loch Drunkie which is in Achray Forest, accessible along a very dusty forest road:D

Very nice...I really like how the transparency of the foreground blends into a great reflection. Beautiful scene.

As Scott says, a very nice blend of foreground to reflection.
I like the idea of using the loch bed as a foreground attraction and you've done a marvelous job of exposing the loch and the trees whilst at the same time keeping good sky detail.
C&C ?
Well, I might be tempted to clone out whatever it is coming in from the lower left of the frame. Slightly distracting.
Super image of Loch Drunkie, Rab.
Loch Drunkie.....now there's a name for a Scottish loch.

Aaaah,lovely calm loch waters.
Did you by any chance have a word with Eolos , my Greek God of wind?
Nice one Robert, good circular framing of the loch`s trees, and good expossure of the sky too.

Lovely Rab, and the underwater foreground interest works really well - a CP I presume?

Thanks, the water was so shallow that it was easy using the loch bed for foreground interest.
Posted by Savarose that reflection is perfect.
It was one of the ones I was lucky with. I visited a few Lochs that day and most had ripples even though there was hardly any wind.

It looks like an old tree branch. I dont think my CS2 skills would be good enough to clone it out convincingly. Of course I should have just waded in and moved it:D ;)

No, but I used that sachet of 'reflectacalm' that you gave me:lol:  ;)

Thanks John, I used a CP filter and a 3 stop ND grad.

Really like this picture. Wonder what it would look like in infrared.

That's a very nice shot, strax. Too bad the sky wasn't blue with some scattered clouds. But it's still a great one. Did you get your feet wet?

I wouldn't alter it at all - just looks great the way it is. Where are the shots of the dusty road! :)

Lovely shot Rab :)
Although I've been in Achray forest a few times I've never ventured down there, did you see anyone fishing while you were there ?

Thanks Trevor for the comments.

Thanks Rachel, shallow water foregrounds seems to be my favourite at the moment:D ;)

No shots of the dusty road I'm afraid, though I did take around a bucketfull of dust home on top of the car:D

Thanks Scott, I did see some people just packing up their fishing gear when I got there, but they were round the other side of the Loch from where this was taken.
