It appears that Photoshop CS may effectively eliminate the need for:
- raw-friendly programs such as BreezeBrowser, and/or
- database programs such as thumbsPlus?
Comments?

I'm wondering that myself. I'm holding off buying CaptureOne and trying to work out if PhotoShop CS will cover my needs, thus saving myself a bit of money.
I have to say that I have become quite attached to the CaptureOne trial software though....

I will update to the lastest, but no way I will leave Capture One for Adobe.

Since PS CS will have a raw converter, obviously you don't need another one. But the test will be whether the image quality and workflow are acceptable.
Image quality will need to be looked at, but I have my doubts that my C1 workflow will be replaced unless there is a major quality benefit.
I don't believe T+ will be redundant from what the blurb says about the new browser. It appears to cope with local files only, so offline archives would be problematic. But if speed is acceptable, it does look like improved metadata handling could add value to your T+ image catalogue.
24 more days to wait. Just keep an eye open for the best upgrade price. :)
