Old Schoolhouse

Today I passed an old one room schoolhouse and I finally took the time to take the shot. Maybe it will be the last time someone will take her picture. It sits alone in a bean field ready to be harvested..
This was taken with the "kit" lens @ max zoom in the "TV" mode.

I like it very much. I was going to ask whether you had a tighter crop (because I like to see details of old things), but noticed the signage - 'Lonely Schoolhouse', which this conveys.

I wasn't able to get close for this picture. Due 2 a electrical fence. This was taken about 200 yards from the building. Maybe I'll get brave and hop over for a closer shot. On a drive today I located another old schoolhouse right on the road front....pictures soon!

I really like this shot, but the building doesn't seem natural to me. May be a little over sharpened? Also the shadow of clouds(?) on the roof are a little distracting, since the shadows are from different clouds then the one in the shot.

What an unusual photo, very striking. It almost looks supernatural. I agree with one thing that was mentioned, the shadow on the roof looks somewhat out of place but none the less, you captured what was there at the time. You should be proud to be the author of this photograph.

Thanking everyone...gosh you Guys and Dolls are Great. I enjoy your thoughts and
ideas!! The shadow on the roof is black plastic...I think the
owner is trying to save the structure somewhat.
I need to take this picture over using a different lens.
