Every now and then we should take the time to read the forum rules (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/rules.php) .

This board sees alot of new members, I'd guess at an alarming rate. I see alot of the typical "It's been asked a millions times, do a search". Does this help the new member, no.

Those of us that have been around here for awhile (that doesn't necessarily make us knowledgeable) should really know better. I trust that Pekka put that in the rules (no just telling the OP to do a search) for a good reason. I believe it goes towards keeping this a friendly and cooperative board.

Seriously though I agree. I'm guilty of it too but we should know better. On the other hand, it IS annoying to see someone ask what was JUST asked 3 threads down...searching not even required. :rolleyes:

Good reminder, Sheldon. Generally, I either offer a bit of advice, or ignore the thread. Most of the time, anyway.
