Has anyone tried using a sumpak 622 pro auto on the D30? I've had the flash for several years, and like the flexability it has, plus the fact it uses real batteries instead of the little AA-s that most flashes use. plus you can swap flash heads on it for different uses. Problem is, the D30 doesn't recognize it, although my A2 does. I'm told canon changed the ttl metering a while back and none of the old units work anymore. Has anyone seen a new ttl module for this system? the place I bought it doesn't carry sunpak anymore and couldn't tell me. Sunpak's web site sucks. I really would rather not have to go buy a new flash, since that would cut into my "new lens" fund. Also is there some limitation on using the pc plug for studio strobes?

Find out what the voltage feedback is on the Sun pak before using it . It could fry your syn. No more than 3 volts should spike you camera. You might want to look for a Wien safe sync in line filter.
