May I ask from you guys who have encountered this problem or maybe to the experts here. I noticed this a week ago up to now. After half-cocking the button to focus, then when I press full to take the shot, It take a couple more of milli seconds before the shot is taken. Unlike before, the moment I press the button, the shot is taken. What seems to be the problem here? Has anyone encountered this problem already?

Your advise will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Cheers!

I have had that once or twice, not often though. Maybe someone else can shed some light on it.

Shutter button has dirt and grime in it, and prolly lost some of its springyness.

Happened with three of my cameras.

Easiest way to fix it is to take apart the camera, to gain access to the shutter button, pop the little metal cover off the button, and two spring-metal dome shaped contacts will come out. You need to clean them well, and if you would like to get some of the 'click' back between AF, and shutter realease, gently massage the dome with a mechanical pencil (with no lead), to make the ome slightly more pronounced.

throw everything back together, and it should work like new again.

The shutter button is that silver square, with the red dot (a protective plastic sheet over the contacts to keep out dirt) on the grip.

badrotation,

Isn't it risky or safe to open you cam like that? I haven't opened my cam ever since I got it.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers!
