Well I went down to the Concours D'Elegance at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA today. I mostly just shot photos of the cars just quickly and with not too much thought. A few shots I did get creative to and a little post work. It was hard to shoot a good shot because there were so many ropes and people in backgrounds. Since many were classics I liked the B&W look. Here are some:

This one I wish I would have left a few more inches on the top to clear the mirror and maybe steering wheel.

This one I think is one of my favorites.

Yes, that was the actual color.

This has to be one of my other favorites. I had a few with palm tree reflections but most had some people in the reflection too and didn't look right.

The originals and rest of the photos, untouched are HERE. (http://filmpost.tv/ConcoursdElegance/index.htm) C&C welcomed on the ones posted above.

Enjoy and thanks for looking.

Thanks for the complement. I will try to post the next time I think I will be going to something like this in the POTN Member Activities section. Would be cool to have a few photogs at one place and see the different shots people choose. And maybe just to meet some new people with the same hobby.

Only the one picture here. (http://filmpost.tv/ConcoursdElegance/images/IMG_0355.jpg) I had some more of that car but I think they all had someone in the way or just not a good shot of it. It was one of my favorite cars there though.

I put some of the other pictures that I took and didn't touchup at all here. (http://filmpost.tv/ConcoursdElegance/index.htm)

Everything was ropped off and only event people and owners were allowed on the otherside. I'm wondering to anyone who shoots at these types of car shows, is there a way you might be able to get in beyond the ropes by offering the images you shoot to whoever runs the event? I might try that next time.
I went to the Gumball 3000 finish which was in the same location and there were no ropes then. It was twice as busy too with cars arriving while people were walking around. I didn't have my Canon back then or else I would have posted those too.
