My 10D came with a File Viewer Utility which I need for RAW file manipulation.
HOWEVER, it seems to be able to only look at certain folders in the viewing tree (on the left, just like MS Explorer).
Anyone know how to change the viewer so I can see my folders . . . not in the #$%! File Viewer default list?
As opposed to copying or transferring a few gigs of files in already existing but not visible folders?

I must not be understanding your question. Why can't you just go over to the left side panel and navigate your way to the folder you want to be in? Or are you asking if you can start up File Viewer Utility and have your own folder showing each time instead of the default "My Pictures"?

Thanks for your question. I'm trying to get it to allow me to navagate to my files in "My Documents".
The left panel shows the "c:" drive and within that drive it shows a limited number of major folders but not "Documents & Settings" or my own files.
I know there is some way to navagate to "My Documents" but I haven't found it....:(

Now I see your point. It looks like there's a bug in the Fileviewer Utility program since it doesn't show the "Documents and Settings" folder, nor does it show the "My Documents" folder. You might want to call Canon and report this bug to them.
I never noticed it before because all my files are kept in a separate folder outside of the "Documents and Settings" folder.
The only way you can get at the files in the "My Documents" folder, near as I can figure, is to go into Zoombrowser EX (the "My Documents" folder does show up there), select all the RAW image files and then jump into the Fileviewer Utility program from there.
Bummer! :(

Weird. For me it defaults to 'My Documents' (c:/documents and settings/administrator/my documents) every time the program starts and then I have to browse to my pictures folder (c:/program files/pictures).
What OS are you using? Win98, 2000, XP?
Are you logged on as administrator?
I use Win2K and am logged on as admin.

I'm using WinXP Home.
I can't believe that Canon would design something around MS Windows that wouldn't use their ubitquitious "My Documents" folder!
