My wife and I will be in Boston this August and I will be wanting to eat! We are staying at the Copley Plaza, if you have any tips on great places to eat within walking distance or short cab ride I'd love to hear them.

I know for sure I want to eat a pizza and a grinder... I'm not very discriminating with food though :)

Go to Fanueil Hall. It has a bunch of places to eat and shop plus lot's of history.

Also, Union Oyster House. Yum, one of my favorite places.

Search out one of the Boston Beer Works breweries. 'Beer junkies' are notoriously picky eaters :)

I was born in Boston (East Boston to be specific) and lived there for over 40 years. For pizza the closest really good pizza from the Copley would be from the original Pizzeria Regina in the North End. If you like traditional tray style pizza from a bakery, you won't find better than Bova's Bakery on Prince Street also in the North End.

The best pizza in Boston though is on the other side of the tunnel, it's called Santarpios and is well worth the trip. Also, in "Eastie" is Jeveli's Italian Restaurant. It is the oldest in Boston. Still run by the Jeveli family since the early 1920's. President Clinton would always stop in there when in Boston. But don't let that stop you.

Faneuil Hall is a must see and wonderful for people watching. Locals such as myself however would never eat there.;)
