So I had a chance to test out the Sony Alpha A100 (VER VERY Brief test). I was able to put in my CF card into the test mule and fire a few shots to do a brief analysis of the camera. I have some 100 percent test images shot from 100-1600ISO. I took the time in writing up a semi pre-production review for all of you guys to read. :)
The camera is good, has lots of features, but it has alot of noise (Even more then the NIkon D200).

thanks for the write up
how are you metering?
this along with the wide angle that you did are underexposed. noise of course will be elevated in under exposure. theres no doubt its worse than the equivalnet canon, but its hard to compare under exposure with proper exposure.

I was using their canon equiv of Matrix metering.
I noticed that teh Alpha like to under expose -1/3
The 1600iso was kinda digusting!

can you post a histogram of a shot? it seems the lights are influencing the shot too much and everything else is several stops under

Actually now that I look at the pictures again, the place the pictures were taken from was actually quick dark, almost as dark as these images. Though it still does seem alittle darker, possibly due to high intensity lights.
I dont have photoshop on the computer I am on right now, so Icannot post the histogram. maybe when im at hoem i can do that.
