Nice! I especially like the lake shot. Which lens did you use? I see you have the f1.4 50mm. I just ordered one and can't wait to get it.

Nice portraits. I like the LolysParents most. Very warm, soft and moody lighting. Matching background color.

Some points to ponder IMHO:

1) You have tried broad lighing. Try Rembrandt style short lighting

2) Model is gazing out of the photograph and there is no emty space at that direction. More empty space and horizontal format may improve the composition. Traditionally the model should look at the direction pointed by his nose (not look at the tip of the nose :D ).

3) Move your light so the catch light appears on the pupil of the eye, or else ask the model to look more towards the camera.

4) Reduce the amount of white part of the eye.

5) Model and background is fused at the border. A hair light may help to bring the separation.

Great job. Keep shooting :)

Thanks for your comments. For the lake shot, I used 28-135MM. For some of these portraits, I have also used the photoflex's medium silverdome kit along with the 42" multi-disc (gold side).
