I heard this one, and it's a good one, as always. (bring your own salt shaker, pepper is optional.)
This would be interesting and I bet the sensor would debut at >12MP since they already have a 12MP sensor in DX format.
On the other hand it would also mean that other manufacturers would find their lenses hard pressed to keep up. Canon has been the first and we already know how absolutely brutal FF is to even top flight glass with the red ring.
My first reaction to this was "Much as I love Canon, it would be good to have others around to keep them honest". It would be a good thing for the market. Of course I'll still trust Canon to deliver the BEST FF sensors, not just FF sensors now ;)
