Congrats to my Brother on his first car! We took it downtown to take a few urban" shots. The light was very nice, albeit very weak. A tripod was an absolute must, especially because I wanted to record the length of the brick wall in focus. I spent several hours adjusting in curves, burning lines of the wall (to exagerate the texture) and dodging the lines of the car to highlight it. I really enjoyed taking the shots as it was the first time I had the opportunity to apply a lot of ideas and techniques seen from others on the forum. Cheers for looking.
All shots taken with 24-70mm

The first one is the best their in my opinion. Then again, they are all good!
Very nice choice in car aswell!

I would say the work you put in on them was well worth it - they look great. I like number 2 the most. I find the starred lights in the first a little distracting. Did you PP them? If so, how did you do that?
I like the original composition in #4 as well. Nicely done.
And, as Andrew said, nice choice in car - I share your brother's taste :):

Good start. In the 1st one, try 8s, f/22, ISO100 & turn the lights on for 1-2 seconds to avoid blowing them out as much.

Thanks Andrew- I like this car too.

Thank you Nick. The starred lights are a result of the small aperature- the smaller the aperature, the bigger the star effect. The number of star "bursts" depends on the number of blades in your lens. I agree they are a little harse though- I will definitely try Franks advice and turn the lights off part way through the exposure.
Thanks for the kind comments i2istudios.

Thanks Frank. I will definitely try this. I like the star effect, but it will look better tuned down a little bit.

I think all of the shots are excellent. I really like #3. If you plan to go and shoot there again, try moving the car further away from the building (if possible) it will may help reduce the reflection in the windshield. Very nice stuff.

I like #3 also. black cars must be a pain to expose correctly like you did.
