I am having problems when downloading files from my G2 to my computer using ZoomBrowser EX. Often times when I view the photo there is a horizontal line across the field above and below which the images do not align. How can I remedy this?

I sort of forgot about the Canon Software-in-the-box.
Let me recommend this third party software developer:

If all else fails, just use a card reader (inexpensive) to plug in your USB port and drag & drop the photos from your flash card to the desired folder on your hard drive. No need to use Zoombrowser at all.

I don't use Zoom Browser at all. I use windows explorer.
It you are using Microsoft XP/NT/2000/98,
1. Connect your G2 to computer using USB cable
2. open a windows explorer.
3. create a directory in which you will keep photos.
4. In explorer you can see G2. click on it.
5. wait... then select photos.. copy and paste in your
directory.

But this doesn't work in win98. The G2 is not recognized in Windows explorer. Or did I missed something ?

Pardon my unawareness..I am not sure about Windows 98. I have windows XP. It detects G2 automatically.

I have windows 98. I use a Zio card reader and open my photos up in a program called ACDSee. Never had a problem yet, and have been using this method for over two years now.

When I plug my camera into the computer (windows xp) a box comes up asking me if I want to use Zoom Browser Ex, Microsoft Publisher, or Microsoft Document Imaging. It does not give me a choic of windows explorer. Do you just cancel out of this box and then manually open explorer?
