Help.... Now the world knows for certain that I am a complete moron. I have been trying to take a photo of me and size it at 80px x 80px but no matter what I do for quality, it always stays at 26KB in PS.... How in the world do we get them down to 8K? Thanks!

Use PhotoImpact instead! But I think this question belongs over in RAW, Post Processing ... Forum.

I put it here, Dwight, because of the recent discussions about Shavri's avatar. Apparently there are other G & N readers that are also experiencing the same issue.

Yes, yes, but the expertise for answering such questions is over there ... I personally don't care and was just trying to be helpful, although I expect that most folks searching to answer such a question won't look for it with nudes.:lol::lol:

have you tried using the save for web and lowering the quality a bit? That strips out the metadata, which is probably what's keeping the size up.

Make it a GIF instead of a JPEG.

Remember to oversharpen once (usually helps) and use save for web.

Thanks, tommy, I thought he'd get better answers outside G&N. :-)
