I was in Stanley Park yesterday, which is a huge urban park near downtown Vancouver, and was fortunate enough to get this series of a Great Blue Heron stalking, attacking and catching its prey. The catch was a half frog half tadpole which seemed to large for the heron to eat!

Superb, the stop action of the attack is phenomenal catching each droplet of water the way you did.

These were taken with the Canon 5D and 100-400L IS lens.

SUPER series here Stan. Love the head dunk with view of it's eye on the target. Last image with the "tadfrog" very nice too.

Very nice series with the intensity in the first shot and the freeze action of the strike in the second. Super!
