On a powershot? No idea...but general rule of thumb is that you want to be sure to saturate your photos with as much light has possible without getting blurry picks so you can really pull out some of the nice green colors that golf courses produce. I'm sure you have some sort of landscape setting on the camera. That should do, just as long as the sun will cooperate. If it's raining, cloudy, etc., you'll have to adjust white balance if you can on that camera.

Hi, Robber... welcome to the forums. I'd suggest (first) trying the "Landscape" mode on the dial. (It's the symbol that looks like a couple of mountain peaks.) The camera will automatically "expect" to see sky, and adjust the exposure accordingly. It will also use a narrower aperture for greater depth of focus (and correspondingly a longer shutter speed). Look at the pictures the camera makes on its own, and the settings it selected, and then adjust with exposure compensation or make your own settings in another mode to correct anything you don't like.
PS -- you'll find that most of the S2 users hanging out in the "Small Camera" forum here, although we probably check in with our G-series brethern as well. Happy shooting!

Robber,
I'd like to suggest you try manual mode as soon as possible and experiment with aperture and shutter speed. ISO 50 on the G series is a good start. I've read that 50 in the G's is similar to 100 on higher end DSLR cameras. (Milage varies.)
