POTN has driven me to drink

As I'm sitting at my desk, trolling through the new posts and doing some PP on the side of a shoot I did today, I happened to catch myself doing something very interesting...drinking faster than normal. It's a muggy day here in Boston - well, it was until it rained - and I was enjoying a few cold Corona's. I stopped, looked at the desk and realized that I had five emtpies sitting there and working on my sixth. I'm a big guy, about 6'3", 250 and can put them down when I'm in the mood. My wife, who's pregnant with our second, used to be my drinking buddy on the weekends. Now that she's out of commissions, I hardly touch the stuff.

Until today.

So my question is, does POTN drive you to drink or is it that I'm so interested in what I'm reading that I'm not paying attention to my other actions?

Regardless, I'm enjoying myself.

I agree. whether it`s drinking more beer, coffee, etc.

I`m certainly using valuable time on POTN instead of more "important" things, like changing the baby`s diaper! lol!

Point is...there is SO MUCH to learn on POTN that it does monopolize our time...which isn't a bad thing!

BTW...now moved to harder stuff this afternoon...rainy day here in Boston. Wife and kid are taking naps. Dad's on the computer, trolling POTN and getting loaded.

LOL. I've actually taken up drinkin' a bit as a companion to POTN. Somehow...not sure of the correlation exactly...it has helped curb my serious spending...ie lenses, etc. I've caught myself rather quickly laying a row next to my scale stand on more than one occasion. :) :cool:

Seems we need a bottle icon too ... for those who want drinking buddies :lol: :lol: Personally, I prefer to be fully alert and I find drinking dulls my mind and senses. For some that is no doubt a major benefit ;)

You took the words right out of my mouth! Time just flies when I'm on and my husband is at the dinner table doing puzzles wondering if I am ever going to get off. I don't eat by the computers, bad example for the kids, but if I did, I'd be drinking Diet Cokes.

And no cash at all for me to spend. I'm banned until I work again. And fat, well, we all need to get off our butts and exercise a little.

hmmmm- maybe some of those who have organs not impacted by POTN initiated alcohol consumption can just list them for trade in marketplace:
