From this year's Telluride Bluegrass Festival in the heart of the beautiful San Jaun mountains in Colorado:

As I recall, these were shot handheld with my 1DMKII, ISO 400 or there abouts, an EF 70-200 f2.8 L IS and 1.4 extender OR my EF 300 f2.8 L IS with 1.4 extender. In this type of setting I typically shoot in high speed mode and pick the best image out of 3 or 4.

The girl with bubbles is incredibly sharp. You can see the lines in her skin (top right shoulder) and the stray hairs on top of her head.

Gotta love those lenses.

I really like Bluegrass but agree with Steve on #3.
