So the story goes like this...

My grandfather was hired as a photographer for a friend of mine's wedding, and I desided to tag along. It was rather hellaeshish, I had to follow the limo who I swear was trying to loose me. After a 35 minute drive (which gave the wedding party plenty of time to get drunk)to an unfamilar place, which I was told was going to be a very nice park - I soon found out was the size of my thumb with a million people there and no real secenery. Greaatttt. I had about 15-20 minutes to get the shots before we had to leave. All good fun though, glad I wasn't the hired paid photographer. Anyrate... I know my grampa's style, which is very formal, so more of my shots were casual and jurnalistic. Here are just a couple, I think they turned out pretty good. Feel free to express your opinion...

Ahhhhh Image Venue is garbage, give me a few minutes to get it hosted somewhere else...

*Edit* Well I put the first one on Imageshack but their compession is horrible, guess I'll load the others for the heck of it. I guess just try to imagine what the images really looks like, out of a 5D/24-70.

What free file hosting does everybody else use?

First photo is cool, the one of the guys is good too. Your skin tones are way off, play with your white ballance.

Swear to god, when I look at the files on my computer they are wayyy different then the ones posted. Looks like they're grey in those photos.

First one is ok, needs fill. A reflector and a touch of fill flash would have nuked those shadowy faces a bit.

The pose with all the guys is a good idea, but it looks soft..and of course the WB issues allready mentioned.

I'm sure we're much more nitpicky than the people on the client end though.

Ohhh, is that what screwed it up? I shoot in a-RGB, and everything on my computer is set for a-RGB.* But* I didn't convert them to sRGB before uploading them.

Yeah, I noticed the problem when I viewed this thread on my Mac workstation at work, and in safari it looked all nice............

the on pc it looked like crap, giving the red flag as A-rgb being the problem.

Safari is the only browswer that I know of that supports profiling. All the others assume it's SRGB.

Some very good and very unique shots, it is good to see people having fun in the pics. Other than the shados in the fist one and the colors being off, they all look very good. Especially considering your circumstances, but that is what makes shooting weddings so fun. It s like a box of chocolates.. you know the rest .

Based on your description of the place you managed to do a very good job. The backgrounds don't look half bad. Nice job.

Not bad for a first timer...I think a fill flash for most of the shots could of improved some of the detail that may be missing in some of the shots. The close of the groom and the young kid could have used a fill flash for sure...and even a photo filter in post processing...maybe something to give it a more sunny look to it.
