Are the head sizes of these 2 flashes the same? I have found some Stofen excessories I'd like to get (I have the 420), but some are for the 550 and I was wondering if they will fit the 420. On the B&H site, the physical size (WHD) are the same, but it says nothing about the head size.

The 420 head is quite a bit smaller than the 550.

Both the physical size and the head size are much different between the 550 and 420 flashes.

The 420 is just a much smaller flash. I keep two of them in one pouch at the end of my Domke F1-X bag, with room for padding, if that gives you an idea of their size. The 550 is alone at the other end of the bag, with a Stofen dome attached. That Stofen is way to big to fit on the 420 by the way.
