Just bought the 100mm macro and was looking around the house for something to shoot. My wife had just brought home a pepper plant. I kinda like it. Problem is, I forgot to put the plant back and the dog ate it :(. Wife is mad about the lens and the plant.

Might as well pick up a few more spare pepper plants while you replace the one that the dog ate. That way you can take plenty more great shots of pepper plants without raising the ire of your wife. Just don't feed the dog house plants anymore :)

Seriously, the depth of field is a bit skinny for my liking.

But the lighting and the blue background are top notch.

Re: wife mad about the lens: Perhaps some flowers might also make a good subject :)(just don't photograph them the same day you present them to your wife.)
