Maybe a dumb question. What is everyone using for image recovery from a mistakenly erased memory card?
I'm going to Fry's tomorrow and thought I might pick one up just in case.TIA

There are several free ones so spending your funds isn't necessary.
this one gets great reviews: http://www.pcinspector.de/download.asp?language=1#file_recovery

Thank you both.I downloaded the pc inspector and tested it on a deleted card.Works perfectly. One less thing to worry about.
Kind of like taking a raincoat with you.If you have it you won't need it.GRIN

I also use the Sandisk recovery software - that was quite a surprise when I opened the box. :D
The only problem is - when I used it to try and recover images from my portable hard drive (I know I shouldn't have done) it told me that I should wait for the next 7000 years and then come back- after 5 minutes I realised that the computer really wasn't joking so I decided to give up on the idea of saving 600 pictures and spend the next 7000 years doing something slightly more rivetting. :D

Image Rescue 2.0.5 from Lexar. It came free with their WA version of the CF cards. I don't buy their cards any more due to bad things I've heard about their 80X in the 1D series camera but the software seems to work fine with the tests that I've done on it. I've never had to use it for real, though (knock on wood). :)
