So I see that the time at the bottom of each forum page says that the time is GMT-4, and yet the time is the same as it is here (New York). From everything I've yet seen, New York is -5. What's up with that?

Check Your usercp.

Under date and time options You set the timezone You are in. Below that there is an option about daylight savings detection. This impacts how the timestamps are displayed.

The time on posts threads etc are your local time based on the settings in usercp. On the bottom of the page is simply an information about the offset from GMT your time is.

On all pages I view the text reads (depending on actual time)

All times are GMT +2. The time now is 11:01 AM.

The timezone for Denmark is GMT + 1 but because we are in daylight savings period 1 hour is added so it becomes GMT + 2.

Same with You from GMT You are -5 (I know because from copenhagen its -6) but because You probably have the option DST enabled 1 hour is added so it displays as GMT -4.

Hopefully I explained this right.

Time is subjective, relative and socially constructed. It doesn't exist objectively. So, ignore it and flow with the incongruity inherent in life. Accept you are but a mere dot of nothingness spinning in a timeless, meaningless and ultimately suffering-filled existence. Then you will find peace ;)

Or, adjust the CP and go buy another L!
